Activity Description
The place
This is a coast to coast trip along the seaside villages east of Kalamata. From the beachfront of the Messinian capital to the seaside villages of the region of West Mani such as Almyros, Mikri Mantinia, Paleochora, Akrogiali, Santova and Kitries, we discover numerous small beaches, spectacular rock formations and turquoise waters. At a distance we get a sight of the foothills of mount Taygetos and on our side constantly lies mount Kalathio, a mountain that literally touches the sea.
The activity
This trip is suitable for everybody but ideal for families with kids. We will journey along the coastline at a relaxed pace, landing on beaches and just having a good time exploring. We'll keep the pace relaxed, take a few breaks and make sure everybody is having a great time on the sea. Our trip begins from the beachfront of Kalamata. Before departure, we prepare our equipment and attend a brief but comprehensive introduction to the principles of sea kayaking. During the trip we will enjoy the friendly Messinian gulf paddling next to scenic harbors with fishing boats while receiving interesting knowledge and information about the culture, history and traditions of the region. In the spots with the most beautiful water we take the advantage for a break for swimming and snorkeling. A bigger break is scheduled halfway in order to relax, swim in the crystal waters and taste a delicious picnic of freshly baked bread, organic, garden-grown fruits and vegetables, homemade olive oil, and cheese. Once the lunch stop is over we paddle back to the starting point to end a relaxing paddling day in Kalamata’s beachfront.

The majority of our day trips are suitable for beginners. We keep a stable and comfortable paddling pace and there's sufficient rest time during our stops. A day trip comprises 30 minutes briefing and preparation, 2-2.5 hours comfortable paddling exploration, 1-1.5 hours free time for picnic, rest, snorkeling, swimming, and other activities. Our experienced trip leaders ensure that everybody is happy, safe and is having a fun day.

Cancellation policy
- Cancellation 7 days or more prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are automatically reimbursed for the full activity price.
- Cancellation between 3 and 7 days prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are entitled to a 50% reimbursement.
- Cancellation 3 days or later are what we call last-minute cancellations. No reimbursements will be effected.
