Enjoy a unique flight with this Hot Air Balloon flight
Meteora in Greek means suspended in the mid air and there is no better way to enjoy this magical place because hot-air balloon rides provide bird’s-eye views of breathtaking landscape with unobstructed views. Our Meteora sunrise flights are scheduled seven days a week, 365 days a year, weather permitting. We do start early, but a balloon flight at Meteora is worth waking up before dawn. Set your alarm to be ready for about 5.30 am and the arrival of the Meteora Balloons mini-bus. Once at the balloon launch site, our staff will greet you with hot drinks and snacks.
You may want to bring a light jacket, as it is often fairly cool before the sunrises fully.
You will be able to watch our pilots and crew inflating the balloons and preparing for take-off. When you are comfortably in the basket, your pilot will give a full flight safety briefing, explaining the landing procedures. Weather is normally very calm in this region but we always prepare passengers on safe landing positions
Meteora has one of the most famous and photographed landscapes in the world. Wind and water have eroded conglomerate and sandstone rocks of the region into the fantastic valleys, formations and columns of stone. *From the air, the view is matchless, revealing itself as your balloon ascends to up to approximately 1000 - 3000 feet
The joy of ballooning is that no flight is ever the same. There is limited steering with a hot air balloon - it can only go where the wind takes it - and this makes each balloon flight an adventure. Your itinerary is shaped by the wind flow, ensuring that your experience is unprecedented and never replicated. So the flights over the rock of Meteora are not allways possible.
After approximately one hour your pilot will determine a suitable landing site - one with easy access for the crew and your minibus. The pilot will remind you of the landing procedure, and then bring the balloon back down to earth, gently...
After landing, we will join together in a celebratory glass of champagne, the balloonists’ favorite drink!

- Flight for 5-8 people 290 euros / person
- Flight 9-12 people 220 euros / person
Extra info:
- Our experienced pilots are EASA certified and flight tested annually.
- As with any aircraft our balloons receive an annual check and Review of Airworthiness.

- To make your flight as safe as possible we monitor weather conditions continually and if it is not suitable the flight is cancelled.

Cancellation policy
- Cancellation 90 days or more prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are automatically reimbursed for the full activity price.
- Cancellation between 30 and 90 hours prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are entitled to a 50% reimbursement.
- Cancellation 30 days or later are what we call last-minute cancellations. No reimbursements will be effected.
* If the activity is canceled by the cooperating company (due to weather, non-completion of minimum entries, force majeure, etc.), the price of your activity, is refunded in full.
