Rappel and River trekking in Pelion
Activity Description
Located just outside the famous village of Milies, de Chirico bridge (steel structure, 42 m high) is the place where we will start our small “flight” from. The name of the bridge was given to honor the Italian engineer Evaristo de Chirico, the designer of the railway track in Pelion.
The main feature of the bridge is that the rails do not follow the straight direction of the bridge, but a curved line. After fixing our ropes, it’s time to rappel down the bridge, until the bottom of the small stream named Taxiarchis.
After a small break in order to admire nature, we are ready to start our walk and explore this magnificent place.
